Original standing Buddha in gilt bronze, 52 cm including throne.

Approximately 130 year old from the Rattanakosin period at the end of the 19th century.

Incredibly beautiful and sharp details in the molding of clothes, rings on the fingers and an original, thick layer of gilding.
Standing in Abhaya mudra position on 4-part throne.

Traces of age such as flaking, bent crown and it leans a bit forward, as the clay from the casting has crumbled a little inside. Parasol missing.

A Thepphanom Angel is said to be a Temple Guardian and is especially seen around the walls of Buddhist temples.

Rattanakosin style from Thailand with many beautiful details, such as a lotus between the folded hands.

Gilt (not gold) with a lovely aged patina.
Acquired in 2013 from an English antique shop.
